  • Features include

  • On-line ordering of products. Includes a range of options to assist the end user with the purchasing process.
  • Existing customers can query outstanding orders, previous invoices and other business information.
  • SPNet links directly to the financial database to create a dynamic web site and automatically reflects changes in the underlying database. No requirement for a separate Internet database.
  • Designed for use by guest users (BTC), existing customers (BTB) as well as branch offices and remote sales staff (BTE). All categories can be defined to run off a single web site.
  • Flexible design allows the system administrator to maintain user groups, set options, limit access, define order prompts, send messages etc.
  • Design templates allow a web designer to customise the 'look and feel' so that it can easily be integrated into existing web sites.
  • Includes embedded CommSecure payment gateway for secure on-line credit card payments. Can be used for both purchases and for paying off account balances.
  • New tracking facility to monitor web site traffic and sales activity.
  • Choice of web hosting options.
  • General features
  • Products can be classified within defined groups and sub groups to multiple levels.
  • The product information displayed to the end-user is flexible and can include a detailed drill down facility, graphic images, URL links, specifications and pricing details, downloadable brochures, stock availability (in fact any field in the inventory database).
  • Pricing is dynamic and determined by the customer definition in the financial database.
  • Rapid product search facility by code or description.
  • Information requested to complete an order is defined by the system administrator for each user group. Prompts can be made optional or mandatory and can include order number, delivery address, payment method etc. as well as user-defined fields. A freight facility allows for a custom designed freight prompt with the freight amount defined by the value or weight of the order.
  • E-mail confirmation can be sent automatically to the customer and also to the system administrator when orders are received.
  • The options available to each user group can be set by the administrator. Product information can also be filtered by user group.
  • Handles both account and retail type customers.
  • Facility to monitor web traffic by user group, date range and type of activity. Compare customers and guest users, view total 'hits' for a nominated period, monitor the number and value of orders placed or track individual users and the functions they mostly access etc.
  • Allows marketing and other messages to be sent to individual customers or user groups.
  • Customers can query their account balance as well as orders and invoices in the system.
  • Facility for rapid order entry where product codes are known. For use by branch offices and repeat customers.
  • Allows the administrator to define and maintain a product 'specials' facility.
  • Branch facility allows access by remote staff, sales agents and company branch offices.
  • Design templates allow the web site colours, logos, buttons, fonts etc to be re-defined by a web designer to suit the organisation and to allow SPNet to run seamlessly within an existing web site.
  • The web site can either be hosted within the organisation, running on a local web server, or maintained off-site at an ISP.
